I knew that I wanted to include a photo of the kids that attended Brodie's party in their thank you notes. Each photo was a 5x7 (I used an online photo service), so many of the normal thank you cards you find in the store....
would have been too small.
would have been too small.
I had plenty of letter size card stock left over from making his bunting, and when folded in half, it ended up being 5.5x8, the perfect size to hold the photos. Since he took the majority of them to school with him today, we didn't have to worry about them fitting in an envelope for mailing.
I created the outside of the card in Word. I actually put a baseball, from clip art, on the back, but I forgot to take a picture! lol.
The name tags on the front were actually an after thought. I was going to leave the front with just the printed image, but I figured it might be easier for Brodie's teacher if they had names on the front.
The names are written in Sharpie, on slivers of card stock, and held on with stickers that I made by printing clip art baseball gloves onto sticky address labels.
For sibling groups, I just stuck on the multiple names.
Inside the card, we wrote the thank you message on the left, and secured the photo to the right with double sided tape.
I think they turned out extremely cute, and the best part was the cost.. just the price to have the photos printed.
Hope everyone is having a great week so far. Momma (me!) got a new pair of running shoes this morning. :) Now I just need to put them to use without killing myself. haha.
