Finally! New Roof!

So, the reason I have yet to paint our shutters is because we were waiting on this ugly, worn thing to get replaced.

I sort of figured that the roofer guys would scratch up my paint job, or that the new shingle color might clash with whatever color I decided on.

(By the way, I'm supposed to tell you to look at that ugly, worn roof in those photos above)
Of course, silly me didn't put this same thought process to the landscaping when I went ahead and planted $60 worth of pretty flowers... only to see them get trampled to death and ugly, worn shingles thrown about all over them.   Figures.

So, after 2.5 days of this...

We now have THIS.
Sigh... I didn't know a boring, Weathered Wood (Hoa required color.. blah) shingled surface could bring me so much joy.

She's a looker, that roof.

  7. Yeah, stuff like that can be a real delightful surprise once it's installed. Your home has a very nice roof. It was totally worth the wait. Congrats on the newest addition to your house.

  8. I love the new roof! Waiting 2.5 days is worth it -- your house looks so much better. For a homeowner, having a house that beautiful is something to be proud of.

  9. I envy your roof! It looks lovely. It blended with the
bricks perfectly. No matter how ugly or how old the house is, there are still
hundreds of ways to make it look like brand new. Like what you did with your
house. All you need to do now is to monitor and maintain it every now and then
to avoid bigger problems. It’s been years since you’ve replaced the roof. How
is it now, by the way? I hope it’s still looking great.

  10. What a nice job! The new roof looks like it was properly done. Don't worry about your choice of color because the paint of the roof and the sidings complemented each other. Renovation is a very exciting task for homeowners because everyday there is something new to look forward to about the house. I hope that after the renovations was done, you became a stress-free homeowner. Cheers!
