About Me

I started this blog a few weeks before we closed on our current house, wanting to chronicle the steps and challenges it would take to turn this neglected house into an updated home.

I decided to call the blog "And Then There Was Home" as sort of a way to identify with this house that really didn't feel like our home at the time.  Slowly (we've been at it over a year now), we've painted this, replaced that.. and some of the rooms are finally starting to come together.  We still have a LONG way to go, but things like this take time and evolve, and if anything, at least I'll have blogging material for the next few years.  :)

Besides blogging, I'm also going to school full time for a degree in Business-Marketing, and I raise three of the most beautiful and crazy boys. 

I am blessed to be married to my best friend, and I try not to take a single day for granted.  How did someone like ME, end up with this life?  :)

Thank you for taking the time to read, and I hope you stick around as we stumble through this slow remodel. This journey of mine isn't just about decorating a home. My goal isn't to just make something pretty, but to create an environment that my children remember as always being welcoming, a place they WANT to bring their friends, and a place where we make memories as a family.  This is OUR journey.  This is OUR Home.
